Happy Birthday Richard!

Made for my Brother Richard, with love, for his special Birthday request.

A must have in the north country!

I was chatting with a friend about a week ago and he told me that he had seen a snake draft stopper and wished now that he would have gotten it since the temperatures here in the north country have dipped down into the single digits. Barry LOVES cats. I told him I had seen one that was a cat and asked if he wanted me to make him one. I went on a hunt and found the vintage 'Simplicity' pattern with the cat door/draft stopper..... (it sure didn't seem like that long ago that I had seen it... ????)

Here is the finished project. His tail and bottom still needs to be filled with beans or rice and Barry will do that when he receives him. It is more cost effective to ship without the heavy fill and add them later.

These are perfect for the cold country. The long tail is placed in front of the door to block drafts.
It snaps on so in summer months the tail can be removed and the cat doubles as a door stopper.
I will be making these up in various colors and fabrics and they will be offered in my Sister Etsy store, JustPokingInFun. If you have a special request for a particular color please contact me. I will do my best to accomodate.
